After serving as Rationing Inspector at Nagpur and Excise Inspector at Pune, joined as Police Sub Inspector in Bombay(1971). Served in Mumbai and Thane for nearly 33 years and retired as Assistant Police Commissioner on 28/2/2003 with an unblemished record. During the service, served for 11 years in the most prestigious branch DETECTION of CRIME BRANCH, MUMBAI.(famously known as Mumbai CID). Earned more than 500 rewards. Most of them for Good Detection Work.
